YEARLY NATIONAL STANDARDIZED TESTING INFORMATION

For TRINITY CENTER STUDENTS

AN IMPORTANT REMINDER THAT:  

ALL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS (9th thru 12th) WITH TRINITY CENTER ARE REQUIRED

TO TAKE A NATIONAL STANDARDIZED TEST EACH AND EVERY SCHOOL YEAR

PLAN NOW to schedule your student to take a National Standardized Test YEARLY before JUNE of each school year for that school year and submit results to Trinity Center for Transcript to be processed for that year. FOR SENIORS BEFORE MAY.

Even if Not required for College Application, a National Standardized test is required for enrolled High School Students.

So, Be sure and take annual required National Standardized Test for high school.

 IF college applying to requires SAT or ACT score for eligibility, that test can count as national standardized test and be sure and take before April of Senior Year so that scores are in for college applications and to Trinity Center BEFORE last week in May.

EXTRA NOTE: IF Senior graduates with 3.7 gpa and if eligible SAT or ACT score is met by official documentation graduation date (1st Saturdays in June), then Senior would be eligible for Zell Miller Scholarship. So, even if not needed for college acceptance, eligible SAT or ACT score is needed for Zell scholarship.

SUBMIT COPY OF TEST RESULTS TO TRINITY CENTER EACH SCHOOL YEAR

By JUNE of each year (UNLESS A SENIOR, before MAY).

NOTE: When registering for ACT OR SAT enter CEEB #112439 for Trinity Center as school

(address is: 4010 Fambrough Drive, Powder Springs, Georgia  30127);

and results will be sent to TRINITY CENTER automatically by mail and thru testing locations electronic system.

ALSO, you can choose 4 colleges for results to be sent for free when registering.

 

PSAT/NMSQT, SAT, AND ACT exams, as mentioned above, ARE counted as a State National Standardized Testing Program, but are optional tests available to students through Educational Testing Services for application entrance to college.

  • The PSAT/NMSQT is suggested to be taken in 9th or 10th Grade and is administered annually in October. Then if Desiring Merit, take in 11th grade. For testing locations for the PSAT, go to www.collegeboard.org .  After choosing a location, contact that testing location directly to register.

  • The SAT is suggested to be taken in the Fall of 11th Grade and/or Fall of 12th Grade and is administered annually Aug to June.  SAT tests in math, critical reading, and writtten essay portion can be taken if required for college entrance.  To register for the SAT, go to www.collegeboard.org   to obtain information of tests dates, testing locations, fees, and to register. 

  • The ACT is suggested to be taken in the Fall of 11th Grade and/or Fall of 12th Grade and is administered annually Aug to June. ACT tests in math, science, and language, and a written essay portion can be taken if required for college entrance.  To register for the ACT, go to www.actstudent.org  to obtain information of tests dates, testing locations, fees, and to register.

NOTE: Although HomeSchool Guidelines are every 3 years, with enrollment with Trinity Center, Annual National Standardized Testing

is required for transcript to process-See Parent Agreement.
