KEALEI CASTLE, DIRECTOR

Mrs. Kealei Castle received the vision for the ministry of Trinity Homeschool in May of 2005.  God blessed her obedience to step out in faith by providing a building in July.  The doors opened with nearly 100 students in late August.   Trinity Homeschool now serves over 230 children.  Mrs. Kealei would say she began this ministry in response to a call from God to support others in the education of their children. She strongly believes homeschooling her own four children these last 15 years and assisting others in their journey is an incredible privilege.  She has been truly blessed in the process.  Three of Kealei’s children are now attending college while the other one is a high school student attending THD/Hearts Academy.

EDUCATION:  Graduate of University of NE-Lincoln with Bachelors of Science degree with a major in Interior Design.

EXPERIENCE: Owned and operated Castle Interiors for ten years before selling business to homeschool her children;  17 years teaching experience and training to homeschool her own children and numerous others; Ordained through Bible Times Ministry and co-pastors Hearts on Fire Ministries with husband, Jim Castle.

FAMILY:  Married 25 years; 4 children Luke, Kaila, Brittany, and Kaitlyn

THD enables parents the opportunity to maintain control of their child’s education, while receiving accountability, a great classroom experience, and a myriad of enrichment and social opportunities. This is accomplished with the faithfulness, commitment,  and excellence of the tutors partnering with the dedicated parents of these students.   Some of her future goals for the school:

  1. To offer more and improved technology-based classes,  academic, athletics, and social opportunities to the youth of our community.

  2. To statistically prove the success of the program in order to affect positive change in the public school system.

  3. To add family and student counseling and support programs for those that cannot otherwise afford it.

  4. To support other like-minded people to create similar programs in their communities

  5. To find funding, grants, etc. To achieve our goal of being debt free.

DON HARDIMAN, SPORTS DIRECTOR

Mr. Don Hardiman joined Hearts Christian Academy of Excellence three years ago as the Head Coach of the Basketball team followed by his appointment as the Athletic Director. Don is blessed with 3 daughters and 9 grandchildren.

The Athletic Director role is a continuation of Don’s dedication to developing sportsmanship, team work and character of our young women and men that began after he retired from a 25-year service career in the U.S. Navy. Before joining Hearts Don served at Grace Christian Academy as the Physical Education Coach, Head Basketball and Football Coach and eventually the Athletic Director.  In his time at Grace Christian he developed the sports program in both the middle and high school levels. He incorporated fund raising into the program. He also worked at the Kennesaw YMCA as the Sports Director for 12 years.

As the Athletic Director at Hearts, he is working to build and diversify the Athletic Program by adding sports such as flag football and baseball to recruit new students, and create a program that can be self-funded in support of Hearts Academy’s goal to be debt free.
